Round Trip: Not sure, maybe 5000 Kms (3200 miles |

Date of visit: May 9th 2002 |
To: To Southampton, England via Gatwick |
Match: MLT testimonial (and Newcastle (h)) |

Matt Le Tissier testimonial game but also last game against Newcastle. I could not miss that game so as i had to go, I arranged the week to go and see Newcastle game at St Marys too on the Saturday. I saw my friends, had fun, Strachan gave me one ticket for the game and SFC kept one £20 ticket for testimonial game. Then I asked Matt if I could go to his private party and he invited me with my friend David from Southampton. Isn't it great? Isn't Matt so simple and kind? That's why I love this club. It is much bigger than the big ones! |

Date of visit: Every weekend home game |
To: Southampton, England |
Match: Southampton vs any team Saints play on weekend |

Story: This Saints fan travels from his home in Philadelphia, USA to every weekend home game and even has a season ticket. Despite the 8 hours it takes just to fly over and the 8 hours to go back, and of course all the money spent, this Saints supporter remains loyal and a devoted die hard Saints fan. When Planet Saints heard his story we just had to feature it here, but he wishes to remain anonymous because "I just love Saints so I'm just like everyone else who supports Saints and so I don't want to appear any different." Mr Anonymous said "I've been here for about 14 months and have been travelling since I came here. To be honest it is no big deal. I've had more trouble getting to Newcastle with BR. The flight is about 8 hours. It took me 12 hours to get back from Newcastle one year." Despite being filmed on a recent journey to watch a Saints game he told Planet Saints "I'm not telling anyone about it as I feel it is nothing special." Planet Saints reckon he is very modest - although he is just as passionate and dedicated in his life of supporting and following the Saints as any other supporter, most would not take the time, trouble and money he has to travel across the globe watching them and this proves he is one 'Real Saint'. |

Name: Suffolk Saint |
Travelled from: Nr Ipswich, England |
Round Trip: 400 miles |
|
Date of visit: 15/12/2001 |
To: Southampton, England |
Match: Southampton vs Sunderland (FA Premier League) |
|
Story: For the majority of Saints supporters home games are easy to get to - pop on the bus, get dropped off, or some may even walk. We came down for the Sunderland match, our second match this season at the great SM stadium, however for us it means a 400 mile round trip from good old Felixstowe Suffolk. But well worth it for the atmosphere & to see the Saints back on winning ways!!! |

Story: What a game this one was! Sang my heart out for the whole 120+ minutes on a cold night at the Reebok Stadium. The penalities were heartbreaking, to say the least, but I was pleased with the overallperformance by the Saints. My third match this season and the best! |
